Hasn't been the best year for tomatoes as far as size but here's a pic of two I picked yesterday Bonny Best ( photo / image / picture from Clay_22's Garden )
Yours look better than most of mine did. Did you get a lot of rain too? I see yours also have growth cracks but not as bad as mine did.
Clay, those are lovely tomatoes, and they likely taste even better than they look! I'm envious--our tomato season is over until the fall cooler temperatures and rain. You did extremely well, considering the adverse weather conditions this season.
Yeah we've been hit with cooler than normal temps along with rain and some nights got down to the high 40's low 50's which is insane for August.
We really didn`t have our normal 100+degree weather this year and all spring (if you can call it that) was cooler and wetter than most years. Normally we don`t get rain in July and August except for a sprinkle or two but this year we had a good 9 inches or better. Not all at once of course or we would be rowing the boat and wearing waders to the garden.
Well heck people....we had heat waves here..some days reaching 100+ and a few rainy days..but the humidity here was crazy this year!!!
