Finally catching up with myself...Now the weather has turned more autumnal its lovely to look back a few weeks when we actually had sunshine and heat!!!

This year I have been 'auditioning' some flowers to see if they like it here.Thankfully the Liatris spicata and the echinacea and the Evening Primrose do,so next year I'll bring in some more for the bees.

I try and save seed if I can and the coreopsis and calendula were more successful this year.

The Chocolate Cosmos(and it really does smell of chocolate!) and the Agapanthus just keep on coming each year with very little effort on my part.

The Pinks are happier with a move to a bigger pot in a sunnier spot

and this rose gets better and better and with a heavenly scent too.

Crocosmia are now among my favourites and Buttercup is so pretty

Attracting bees and other pollinators is high on my priorities, which in turn attracts bigger creatures

    A very welcome resident. ( photo / image / picture from Kiasmum's Garden )

After a particularly wet spell during August this little chap/ess seemed to confuse the plant saucer with the pond.Thankfully Buddy and Nyla did not see it...

These are gorgeous pictures! I really love the close ups where you can see almost every detail. :) Are these from your own garden?

What can I say KM, wonderful photos indeed! My favourites are the bee and frog photos. I have a friend who has a fear of frogs so she probably wouldn't like the last photo :D

Wonderful shots. :D You have still got so much colour in your garden. Up here everything is shutting down in preparation for the colder weather.

I love seeing all that color! And looks like your auditions are going well with so many things still producing so profusely. I love cosmos... might have to try some of the chocolate ones.

Thank you Josh, yes they are or have been in our garden.Sadly a lot of them have now peaked and are a bit sad.

Thank you Frank. I also have a friend with a frog phobia-she can't even look at pictures and on occasion I have forgotten to put a note in a thread title telling her not to look

    You're very welcome Barb :)

    Thank you 2ofus.

Thank you Eileen, some of them are now past their best as it has taken a while to process my pictures. I still have a couple of roses and plenty of flax(from the birdseed) but like your gardena lot of plants are shutting down :'(

Thank you Netty,I heartedly recommend the cosmos,so yes,you must get one :p

Cheryl, see my reply to Netty :D

Thank you Tooty, the bugs seem to approve of my choices.
