I'm a member of a Facebook group of quilters in the UK who like to sew for charities.Mostly we use up our scraps, beg from other people or scour the many charity shops for fabric that we can re-purpose These 3 quilts for Project Linus UK are made entirely from scraps and strips from early projects. Project Linus UK 1 ( photo / image / picture from Kiasmum's Garden ) Project Linus UK 2 ( photo / image / picture from Kiasmum's Garden ) Project Linus UK 3 ( photo / image / picture from Kiasmum's Garden ) The blue quilt and blanket was made from a re-purposed single duvet cover and a flannelette sheet. It is destined for a charity in Mozambique,Africa. A quilt for Mozambique ( photo / image / picture from Kiasmum's Garden ) This quilt has gone to Scotland to help a little girl struggling with mental health problems. A quilt for Heather ( photo / image / picture from Kiasmum's Garden ) and these bags are given to patients in a hospital in Leeds because they need something to carry their chemotherapy syringe drivers around. The quilts are so pretty and it is nice that you know where they are going also. You must be a very loving and generous person.
I love the work you do and know every gift you make is going to be really appreciated. You have a good heart and a wonderful talent.
The quilts and bags are beautiful, but not as beautiful as the kind and generous hands that made them.
Awww, thank you for your generous comments. I do it because it seems the right thing to do and if something as small as a quilt can make someone else's life a little bit better then that's fine by me. One of the ladies in our group made 75 of those syringe-driver bags
