This is beautiful Saint Andrews by the Sea (my neighbouring town). It is a very busy tourist spot in the summer. Most days there is barely room to drive your vehicle down the street. On the wharf ( photo / image / picture from Chrisle's Garden ) A look down water street ( photo / image / picture from Chrisle's Garden ) The Algonquin Hotel ( photo / image / picture from Chrisle's Garden ) A little of the Farmer's Market ( photo / image / picture from Chrisle's Garden ) More of the Farmer's Market ( photo / image / picture from Chrisle's Garden ) Saint Andrews Golf Course overlooking the bay ( photo / image / picture from Chrisle's Garden ) Whale watching available ( photo / image / picture from Chrisle's Garden ) Near the wharf ( photo / image / picture from Chrisle's Garden ) Bay of Fundy in the distance is the State of Maine,USA ( photo / image / picture from Chrisle's Garden ) Roadside fall foliage ( photo / image / picture from Chrisle's Garden )
Beautiful location Chrisle. How is the farmer's market there? Do you play golf yourself? Thanks for taking the time to share it with us.
That was a nice foto display of the town near you. I can see why it is touristic. The water shots are nice but the fall colours are smashing. I really enjoyed your posting today. It is nice to see the physical area near where you live.
Wonderful photographs of a really beautiful town. We have a St. Andrews here in Scotland too that has a famous golf course and university. Here's a link to let you see how the towns compare: https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=st.+a ... 40&bih=650
Thanks for showing us the photos. That hotel is grand, I don't imagine we could afford a couple of nights in a room with a balcony but it would be fun.
Thank you everyone for all the comments, seeds and patches. I was looking at the link Eileen sent. Both St.Andrews do have many similarities except we don't have any castles! St.Andrews,Scotland is beautiful indeed. Our St. Andrews is a national historic area. There are many more points of interest around town. The kingsbrae Botanical Gardens are beautiful. Although I have never had the opportunity to see them in person(just local pictures). I have eaten at the Algonquin, twice. Both times as a guest. Food is awesome. I was privileged to meet one of the chefs and he showed me a few pointers on food presentation. I don't play golf but they had a day open to public grounds viewing. The picture I took is off a beautiful point high over the Bay. I think it is the most photographed section of the course. Thanks again everyone.
