What a job. I think I'm going to stop reading cook books and trying new recipes. They are not all completed yet. Ran out of supplies. And of course I found recipes that I had forgotten about and just had to start baking. If anyone wants recipes, let me know and I will post in recipes. Just the beginning. ( photo / image / picture from Donna S's Garden ) Table of content is 3 pages long. ( photo / image / picture from Donna S's Garden ) All vinyl pages. No more messed up recipes. ( photo / image / picture from Donna S's Garden ) The rest of the story. ( photo / image / picture from Donna S's Garden ) Pecan cheesecake bars. Very sweet. Oh, I'm starting to get hungry and I just finished lunch too. Great recipe book...hmmm...I see lots of fresh recipes(no bitemarks). I'll bet a few even make it to the Gardenstew Recipes and Cooking Forum before they get eaten. Jerry
Gosh you've made a great start already. I like the vinyl pages as I'm always dripping stuff on the recipes in my books. I also really think that indexing is essential in a book like yours as it saves time and you can go straight to the section you need. Will you be selling your book once it's finished? It's something I would certainly consider buying. Could you, if you have some spare time, put your recipe for English muffin toasting bread on the forums please? Many thanks.
Yes, we definitely need the English Muffin Toasting Bread recipe. And any others that you feel like throwing at us. I doubt that any of your recipes are less than great!
Jerry, There is already a few in the recipe forum. Adding more soon. Eileen,Thanks for the ego boost. As for selling my book, that's way to big of a job. And yes I will post the recipes. Thanks for asking.
OK, if you are not interested in profiting from your book. Why not make it public? By creating a simple and free website - Take WordPress for example: https://wordpress.com/ One of many places on the internet that enable you to have a free personal website and blog! Just do a simple search and you'll find lots of other places like this too. So pick any one which suits you best - After which simply start by uploading pictures of every page. Nothing more to it actually! Best of all, you'll be able to email the link to all your relatives and friends. And so this way everyone will get a copy, (while you keep the original with you)! Cooking is both a knowledge of skill, as well as a form of art. One well worth sharing and preserving, (specially when someone makes such a commendable effort to collecting it all in one place)... So unless this book has any of the horrible recipes which my maternal grandmother excelled in making - That had all the charm of a thumb being poked in your eye... I believe that this book must be spread all over, (and the name Donna S be clearly show on every page)!
Donna looks very Yummy! Wow what a great job you did on the cookbook. I too am guilty of recipe clipping. I think oh that would be good to try. So I clip it and stick it in my saved recipe file never to be seen again. That is a great Idea Donna. S-H that is a super tip. I will have to keep that online address in my file.
Very nice job and I know it is a lot of work. I just hate getting recipes from some sites that don't test them out first. At least in small areas like here it is something people use...those bars look so good! Samples to pass around???
