Not really gardening but I put my fountain passion to good use earlier this morning.

Installed a commercial grade fountain in the lagoon of a local retail village complex

Bet you'll get a thrill every time you go by there. I know I would!

That is so lovely! I would dearly love to have something like that in our pond to aerate and prevent "turn-over", but way too expensive for a one-acre pond. I'll just look at your installation and turn green with envy (not algae).

Been months since I started this thread.

Great things have happened since then. I installed a larger fountain and moved the other fountain to the side of the chapel. 2 weeks ago I landed a job at the chapel as a landscaper. Kasco Marine who makes the smaller fountain gave me a nozzle to experiment with.

Both fountains working. You can make out the smaller one in the background.

One of the patterns achievable with the nozzle.

    Another configuration.

Ultimately I decided on this pattern. 8 lower stream and a center jet.

The choice you made is spot on for the area of water of the lagoon and also for a retail complex. I'm sure your clients are over the moon with it.
If I had to pick one, for myself, I think my choice would be the third one as it's just the configuration I would want for my pond.

I like all the patterns! Did you set them both to the same type?

Unfortunately I couldn't set both. The small fountain is Kasco Marine and the big one in an Aqua Control. Surprisingly the flow straighter fits both but the screw holes don't match. I considered modifying the flow straighter for the larger fountain but the holes would be in line with the O ring that provides the water tight seal.

The small fountain is a Kasco 1400JF but the nozzle is from their 2400SF model. Kasco let me try the SF nozzle on the 1400 because they use the same pump components.

When I asked Kasco if they would include the SF nozzle with the 1400 and they said due to pricing it wouldn't be feasible. However one can special order one with the SF nozzle. However you'll need a fat wallet. A 1400 with SF nozzle will put you back 1,500$.

Awesome fountains. Is this like a property you own? Huge mansion in the background of one of those pictures. This is beautiful if it is your yard.

I wish. No that's not mine. I'm not sure who the owner is.

Haha. yeah I wish too. What a nice property! I think the fountain look great. The complex I live at has a fountain at the entrance for the little pond we have. It is nice to just walk around in and enjoy the little nature we all have here to enjoy.
