Richard you almost read my mind! I'm grilling chicken breast, wrapped in bacon, slathered with bbq sauce and topped with Monterey Jack cheese.

I'll be adding some squash and broccoli to a tin pan with butter and garlic salt to steam on the grill and baked potatoes.

Last day for the grill for me :-(

Dooley is making oatmeal cookies right now. Supper is a mystery. Don't matter anyhow. It is all good.

Lasagna today. We have been without an oven since the summer. Didn't see the sense in getting a new one bc of the heat. But with the holidays coming up we had to have one and of course the first thing Regina wanted is Lasagna, I'll cook Sarah's choice tomorrow.

Today is chicken and broccoli casserole, with cheese. This is Sarah's pick. All I have to fix with it is a salad and it is good to go.

Vegie soup will be on the back of the stove around noon to slow cook the rest of the day.

Should make for interesting smells in the house today since I will also be making candles in the kitchen.

We had beef stew last night. Lots left so in will go a few additions and out will come vegetable soup. I hope it will be soup anyway. My soup tends to be thick and chewy. Dooley

I'm marinating chicken breasts in olive oil and balsamic vinegar to stir fry at the last minute. Also collards and augratin potatos. My hubby never fails to say "these are the best potatos ever".
I make stew and we eat it for one supper then I take the rest and bake a double crust pie. Everybody likes this better but they have to have plain old stew on day 1.

I have chicken and broccoli casserolle, Lasagna, and Jambalaya in the refrigerator so it is leftover time at the Bowlin household.

Well the vegie soup last night was a resounding failure. I had bought a "kit" prepared on site at Central Market....green beans, carrots, rutabaga, cabbage, onion, minced garlic and a bag of spices. Cooked it in vegie stock but that didn't help the taste at all. Good thing I had heated up some garlic bread to go with or we would not have had anything to eat.
Ended up at Long John Silvers for Fish and Chips about an hour later.

Tonight I am sticking with the tried and true....fried Spam, mashed potatoes and lima beans.....comfort food after one of my culinary disasters. :-D :-D
