I had my 6 week check up yesterday and despite getting myself into a bit of a state and expecting bad news,I am delighted to say that my surgeon was very very pleased with my ,now reattached retina. He lasered a tiny area that he wasn't able too at the time, just to be sure that it won't be a problem any time soon.I will see him again just before Christmas because he will be leaving just afterwards to take up a post in Edinburgh which is where he lives. The patients will be very lucky to have such a fine man to help them.I will always be grateful to Mr El Ashry and his team for having looked after me so well.
Great news Kiasmum!! You can now enjoy all the pictures and posts by Stewbies even more. Cake and cookies!! Wow!! Desert for tonight's supper will be spectacular. Jerry I see bite marks on the picture already!!
I am so glad you are doing so well. I can understand how we have great attachments to those who help us in these ways. We always have tender thoughts of that person. It's a good thing.
This is superb news Kia. You know those words of yours, "I will see him again just before Christmas....", were MOST encouraging to read. Right then, congrats to you and your eye...and of course, a big thanks to your doc.
Well that's definitely one man who will be added to your holiday card list KM And deservedly so! Very happy to hear that you have recuperated so well. 2014 is ending on a very positive note
Tell your doctor he may be a great eye surgeon, but you had a large contingent of friends pulling for you. So happy the check-up went so well!
That is wonderful news...not all surgeries turn out right. Now relax and keep taking good care of yourself. I will have a piece of cake please
That's just the news I was waiting to hear. I'm so glad everything is going so well for you. I grew up in Edinburgh by the way and so did my husband.
Oh my goodness, this is awesome news!!! I am so happy for you, and now you can get back to sewing and all those other things you have been banned from doing
