Looking out of the window I spotted a red headed bird in the mountain ash. I went out of course with the camera and took a few pictures. It came back again later in the day. The sapsuckers have been before but this is the first sighting this winter. ( photo / image / picture from Kildale's Garden )
I presume that Sapsuckers are related to woodpeckers as they appear to have similar colourings. Those holes in the tree were they made by this bird by any chance?
Kildale, How do you get these birds to pose for you? You have a talent . Every time I go out in my backyard, all the birds fly away!
