This is another bird I haven't seen before. We have Siskins here but, although they appear quite similar, there are differences in their colouring.
Hi. Ref the Siskins colour. The ones we get around us down here are that the Male is much more yellow and with black markings - at a distance could be confused with SOME Greenfinches. The pic I sent in and the one shown here are the same as our female birds. The females are much less bright than the males- in plumage that is. Syd.
We see them quite often here. Even though they aren't brightly colored they are still pretty birds to watch.
They are here by the dozen but with them being plain like, they don't get people rushing out with the cameras.
Hi. Same with our Dunnock more often known around us as a Hedge Sparrow - a beautiful though plain'ish little bird - mainly in the browns but with a grey'ish head. They are a delight to watch when on say the grass - as they walk they continuously flick their wings. Syd.
