We still have about 3 inches of snow on the ground, but there are a few subtle signs of spring around. The sun, when it's visible through the clouds, has a lot more heat to it than it did a month ago. The bare limbs of the Mock Orange have also started to turn a reddish color. Always a sign that the sap has started to move up the stems. No leaf buds yet, but they should start in a couple of weeks.

Well I have snowdrops in flower somewhere under the snow but not much else. My daffs, crocus and other bulbs are coming along nicely but no sign of buds just yet.

I am buried in snow. Probably won't see any signs of spring until May! :smt089

Lots of snow here too. We are expecting more today, and again tomorrow. But at least the sun is shining and the days are getting longer again.

Just saw a new sign of spring! We had a herd of 18 deer in the field next to us. They were running around chaseing each other and just playing in the snow. I think they have Spring Fever! Couldn't get a pic of them, they were too far away.

That's great Capt! I have noticed a lot of animal tracks in the snow again ... they are on the move! I didn't really think of this as a sign of spring until just now ...

We have tons of snow still & more expected today, tomorrow & Monday. BUT the days are getting longer. I know my perennials & bulbs are safely tucked up in their beds awaiting the first warmth of spring.....And then they will JUMP out of their beds!
