My mother-in-law has requested pepper plants for the garden this year. I've always had bad luck with pepper plants.

Can any one recommend any easy pepper plants that might survive me. :)

    Thanks!

Do you want HOT ones or ones you can taste without having all your taste buds seared off?

I've always found that Bell peppers are pretty easy to raise. I hope that, whichever ones you get, you manage to get a good crop from them.

Ace and Gypsy are easily grown bell pepper types, although they are more pointed than blocky like the grocery ones. I no longer grow hot peppers since I destroyed the taste buds of our Hispanic neighbor.

Schinus species are weeds in many places, and what grows easier than a weed? They have been used as a substitute for commercially grown pepper, though usually just as a filler.

I'm always removing Schinus molle, and Schinus terebinthefolius is noted by my state government as an environmental weed, so care needs to be taken that they don't take over.

These trees' fruit are the types of peppers you grind to put over your food, not the bell pepper type.

I have good luck with California Wonder. Has nice flavor and shape for stuffing. Freezes well also.

Was surprised that my Bonnie green bell peppers survived the cold snap we had and grew back from the bottom in large concrete pots. Bought some more to plant in pots too.
