here I am with only two Kale seedlings left to plant. It is only Tuesday! Tomato's- Brandywine, Big Beef (de-hybridized), Opalka, and Giant Belgium. Sugar Snaps are up about 2 feet, if'n it don't get too hot, I'll have some peas 'long about mid June. Early Jersey Wakefield cabbage, and a new flat started, kohlrabi started to plant out when the peas are done, Jalapeno, Ancho, Poblano, Sweet Bell, and Cubanelle peppers. Red and Yellow Onions and garlic Rhubarb, Asparagus, and Raspberries are looking pretty good. Parsley, cilantro, dill, basil, oregano, and some other herbs I cain't recall right now are up too. A few cages to make for the peppers, and I'm about done. Reckon I could always go to the range and sight in those three rifles with new scopes.
FBG, it takes a real gardener to consider a week of planting, cage-making, and general gardening work to be a "vacation." I applaud you--and your garden will reward you, too!
That's the kind of vacation I would enjoy. It sounds like you got a lot accomplished and still have a little time to relax.
It's so good to know that there are other gardeners out there that see time spent outdoors as a relaxing and fun time to get everything ship shape. I hope all your plants thrive and your veggies keep your kitchen overflowing with good things to eat.
Chapeau! That sounds like a perfect vacation to me. just look what all you have accomplished already, so early in the season.
