Wow, we have had an over abundance of Orioles at our feeders. It is so much fun to watch them. We are surrounded by some old apple trees and so we get both kinds of Orioles. So I thought I'd post a picture of the Orchard Oriole and the Baltimore. Their colors are so strikingly different. DSCN3467.JPG DSCN3460-001.JPG

What colourful birds both orioles are - especially the Orchard one. I'm so glad you managed to get photographs as they are birds we don't see over here.

Great photos! We don't get Orioles here, but when we lived up north we would occasionally get an oriole or two. Thanks for reminding me of how beautiful they are.

Thank you everyone. It is wonderful how each part of the world have their own special birds. I love them all as you do.

I've been watching the Orioles here too! Silly birds keep trying to feed from the Hummingbird feeder that is right next to the Oriole feeder. I guess they like the sweeter mix. Fun to watch and they have such a happy song.

Which is your favourite of the two Tooty? I'd prefer the striking orange of the Orchard Oriole but both are pretty to look at.
Thanks for posting them for us to see :like:

I have been getting both kinds of Orioles too....they are so much fun to watch and I love the chatter they make to let you know they are here. I actually lift up the blinds in my bedroom so when I walk into the room, it is like watching them on TV... I am glad you are enjoying them...hopefully we will get over this cooler weather at night. I have plants to get into the ground yet.
