With absolutely no gardening done since last September I really didn't have high hopes for much colour in my garden this year BUT Mother Nature is very forgiving...
Very pretty, I love those colors. I really like the last photo. Yep Mother Nature takes care of her beauties when we can't. Two years ago when I had two surgeries and couldn't do anything in the garden over 6 months I had to depend on her to cover what hubby either didn't think of or couldn't do....gardens are amazingly resilient.
Thank you Toni.I just happened to be out at the right moment.Ten minutes later and it had all changed. Sorry Vitrsna,I forgot to label them... The first two are Oenothera/Evening Primrose, the 3rd is a new-to-me Aquilegia Chrysantha 'lemon queen, the 4th is a salvia/culinary Sage and the last is my Crocosmia and Geum Koi caught is a sunbeam. Thank you Eileen. That Aquilegia just leapt at me when we went to a proper nursery as opposed to a garden centre. The quality of the plants was so much better than at the Wyevale we have a few minutes away.
Very lovely foto's Kia's. It is amazing what Mother Nature can do isn't it. Well, the piccies were lovely as I said, but that last one.........that's ART! That is by your sitting area, isn't it? The composition and lighting I was over the moon with. Great exposure. Well done you.
Thank you Sjoerd. I just happened to be in the right place with my camera in hand and at the right time I have always been fascinated by light, even more so since I took photography more seriously. It is a pretty one isn't it.I have just hunted out the name as I had forgotten and it is Oenothera Sunset Boulevard.
