Now I get to bombard you with photos This was on the door when we got to their place: My son Corey owns a couple of restaurants. This is one...we're sitting on the outside patio having a meal. The girls (Corey and Mayra's kids/my granddaughters) sure love their Uncle Cam! We did the touristy thing and walked down Hollywood Blvd. This is Grauman's Chinese Theater. I also took photos of various footprints and stars which I won't bore you with. And...uh....then there was this. And the ONLY reason I consented to this picture is because my son Devin is HUGE Rocky Horror Picture Show fan, and I couldn't not! Well, not the only reason....I'm just a daredevil. They took us to a bunch of really yummy family restaurants to eat. This was one of them, complete with a variety of activities for the kids. I made glasses out of one of the crafty things. Savannah got a real kick out of putting them on her Dad. Have another beer, Corey! I'd originally made them for sweet Charlotte. No trip to California is EVER complete without at least one visit to In-N-Out Burger. Cam got a double double animal style, and animal style fries. He was in heaven!! The view from their back deck. Spectacular!
The Aquarium: Sweet Lucy was beside herself when she actually got to feed the Lorikeets! River too! We all got to pet the sharks and stingrays: Corey and Cameron (two of my boys) and William (my son in law) did the Six Flags Magic Mountain thing. And then Corey took us to the Fire Station. (He's a firefighter/paramedic) Cameron getting the full experience! We got to go on a ride-along (just round the block) and I thought River was going to explode from excitement. They treated him to the full, front-cab experience, complete with headset and sirens and lights! It was a jam-packed, fun filled trip and we had an absolute ball. I have to say though, it was SO lovely to sleep in my own bed last night!
Looks and sounds like you all had a great time. We have In-N-Out Burgers here but I have never been....always too crowded, guess it must be good. The Dude-ette ...... great looking legs. That view from the back deck is spectacular....is that the restaurant or their home?
I know!!! Not bad for a guy, huh? That's their home. They live in Whittier, which is a city in Los Angeles County, California, about 12 miles southeast of LA. It's at a somewhat higher elevation, resulting in those spectacular views!
WOW the back deck view is to die for!! I so enjoyed all your photographs Ronni and the best thing about them are the smiles of your family. Everyone looks so happy to be together and loving each others company. I love the shots of little Lucy and River with the lorikeets. I just knew River would be beside himself with his fire engine experience. I'm sure it's one he'll always remember. Wish I had a set of 'pins' like that guy had!!
I'd be sleeping on a cot on that deck every night not wanting to miss that view for a second. Glad your trip was a safe and happy one. More photos would be welcome too.
It seems like the family enjoyed the entire vacation and just being together. I enjoyed the pictures and all the smiles a lot. I'm also jealous of the dude-ette's legs.
Ronni, it looks like you had a great vacation. It is so nice to see your family all having fun together. Heart warming!
