It's just a tiny thing, but still brought a sense of nostalgic joy. Can you see what it is?

When I was a child we used to walk like this in the snow all the time. I thought children these days didn't do it, but this track proves me wrong. Why did I ever stop I wonder? I still jump on frozen puddles to crack the ice. I still jump a hopscotch when I pass one on the road. But I don't make snake tracks in the snow. I need to start doing that again.

Wow, I used to walk the same way as a kid! That was back in the days when children used to play outside (sigh)

Do you make "snow angels" as well?

But of course, when we have enough snow. And sneak around the house to throw snowballs at unsuspecting family members or friends. I also make snow lanterns and ice lanterns. Sometimes I climb a tree, if I can find one with limbs I can manage to get up in. My butt has grown slightly heavier over the years.

    Dear, oh dear, oh dear.
    What are you like.

Do they have a neighbour watch group where you live?
They may have to take measures to curtail your snowballing practices.

How I would love to be your neighbor! I remember all you mentioned plus sledding down hills on a piece of plastic. What fun!

Sjoerd, no neighbour watch groups, just the curious old lady behind the potted plants in her livingroom window. :smt100 And I can't pelt her window, that would be mean. :smt059

2ofus, not enough snow yet. If you were here I'd lend you a toboggan. More comfy than a plastic bag.

This brings back memories of when I was in college. We had a good snowfall, but no sleds. However, there were cafeteria trays, and one of the fraternities took it upon themselves to "liberate" trays so we could go sliding down the hill in back of the girls' dorm. Cafeteria workers and college officials were out waving arms and trying to stop us. That didn't stop us sledding for a moment!
Thank you Droopy, I hadn't thought of that for a long time.

Did anyone ever make "slides" in the snow?. Deliberately create an icy surfaced longish length about a foot or so wide - then take a run at it jump on and slide right along it. We made them usually in a field out of the way. Not good for shoe soles/heels wear mind and was most unpopular with parents accordingly.

Yup, we did. It was great fun too. But we preferred skating or tobogganing.
