Glad you like them, TY! That's the Peperomia 'Jellie,' a P. clusiifolia cultivar, Exotic Angel plant found at WM: http://www.gardenstew.com/plantstew/9000725
I put this pot together a couple years ago & have added some Portulaca amilis to the front. They don't look like much yet, but I had to use pretty small plants to stick through those holes on the side of this wire mesh planter. http://www.gardenstew.com/plantstew/504539
The first flower on the experiment shown above showed up today! Mixed Philodendron & Scindapsus vines: Smaller plants that live at the base of a dragon tree (Dracaena.) Begonia, polka dot (Hypoestes,) Alternanthera & another Dracaena 'White Jewel.' Kalanchoe blossfeldiana & Peperomia 'Jellie.'
Some pics of combo pots from yesterday. Birdnest fern (Asplenium nidus) with new cuttings of Perilla 'Magilla.' Bottom pot has heart-leaf Philodendron vine, Pothos and some newly added cuttings of Begonia and Aglaonema. Decided there's too many names to type, if anybody has any questions, happy to answer them! 3 4 5 6 7
Some new combos, from stuff that was in the ground for summer vacation... The other side of the same one: Tons of newly propagated stems: Bromeliads & Tradescantias: Hanging!
Your plants are always lovely, and I really love your creative use of the baskets. This is a combo-planting/dish garden of succulents which I made several years ago, inspired by Monet's paintings of waterlilies. Of course, it only lasted for one season as a pretty centerpiece on the patio table before outgrowing the bowl, with the parent plants making pups and pushing the blue glass beads out everywhere - but hey, it was nice for a while. lol
TYVM! :+) And TY for sharing a pic of your awesome bowl! So colorful and pretty. I have a T-shirt of that painting that I wear while gardening often, but can't admit to having created anything in homage to it. Well done! ...and you didn't happen to live in Alabama before, did you? I keep finding those blue glass things in our yard?! LOL!
Thanks very much for the "likes" and kind compliments. Heheh, Hubby and I actually do have family in AL, but (to the best of my recollection) we have not salted the earth with any of these "gems" during visits.
Made a few more combo pots from plants that were in the ground all summer. 2 3, Closer view of the hanging one: 4 5 6 7 8 9
