Wow, those are gorgeous!! Are these combos you put together? I especially love the crested plant in the last pic. TY so much for sharing them!
Yes. The crested plant is so out of control I don't know what to go with it lol. Here's a pic of it today and another when I first bought it. And and another of a pot of babies I've propagated and potted. Thanks. The crested plant is graptoveria "Fred Ives"
The first pic where it's purple is completely unfiltered btw. That was over the summer and was showing gorgeous color where I had it. Gorgeous!
Fantabulous! I love them all! I put this together about 2 mos ago. Some pieces had roots, some were cuttings. Coming out of the holes in the front is ornamental purslane, P. umbraticola. I'll have a good stash of it to take cuttings & get it going in the landscape again. Everything's 1-sided, leaning, since it needs to stay with the purslane facing the window, but the plan is for this pot to only need to survive winter. Then back outside in the ground for summer, to pretend I live in a tropical place!
Wow, there have been even more great looking combo pots posted here since my last looksee! Aw, thanks much. Mrs H' - it's mutual admiration, then. Actually, after posting that photo a while back, and admitting that I had allowed my little dish garden to go to pot, I got myself motivated to give it another go. Here is the new version:
Yes, yes, yes, such great pics of such great combos! So glad to see so many great ones! Crazy combo hanging pots: Mostly succulents: My 1st mini garden is doing well through its' 3rd winter.
Some pics I took yesterday of gorgeous shades of color on some of these plants. Some are showing their best colors ever. These are plants that have been lucky enough to win a spot during a S window this winter.
Some of these might be updates of previously shown pots. Philodendrons that need a bigger trellis. A few parlor palms with variegated lucky bamboo (Dracaena braunii,) Epiphyllum oxypetalum, Begonia, Ficus. Succulents in a wire basket (lined with landscape fabric.) Heart-leaf Philodendron vine with Begonia. A pot too big to bring inside, Cannas & tons of little cuttings that should cover the pot soon. Various Begonias with a little false Aralia tree.
I am so in love with this pot! It gets prettier every day, which seems impossible the day before. New Begonia leaves are so awesome!
Looks like mostly succulents in this thread, but the title DID say Combo pots, so I'm chiming in here with my current outside pots that I started from itty bitty plants at the beginning of the season. They've grown a whole bunch already!! That bright green sweet potato vine will soon be trailing on the ground, which was the vision I had when I did the original planting. Same pots, slightly different angle
Love all the photos and plant combos. Really inspiring me to get out there and get some of my plants "fixed" aka planted in prettier arrangements
I put this combo together last weekend. It has Aglaonemas, Neoregelia, Callisia congesta & elegans, Plectranthus amboinicus, Rhipsalis teres, Peperomia verticillata & dolabriformis, and Begonia 'Castaway.'
