Let's see then....where to begin. Shall I begin with my reasons? Right....Urmmmmm.....it's still raining outside, I want to have a glowing completion, I have worked hard in the lottie and I deserve it, I am a somewhat slender dude and choccy helps one stay slender, I metabolize properly, I have a yearning-one ought to listen to one's yearnings, the bod is telling you something, I was born with a a sweet-tooth, and the dentist can't help, ....Urmmmmm.... Just a little nibble won't hurt anything, I hardly ever do this, No one in my family is overweight, It reduces stress in expectant mothers, It is healthy to consume it, Eating it reduces memory loss in the old, It puts me in a good mood, It helps me with mathematical calculating, It is the food for gods...I'm not one, but when I eat it, I feel like one, It keeps me from being depressed--oké, first I'll sing the blues, then eat, They say that its good for antioxidents--I WANNA BE ANTI-OXIDIZED!, It has Flavonoids. They help against wrinkles, and "the Day of the Wrinkle" approaches, Most of all though....it just makes me feel better. What am I about to do? I have the hot tea and now this:
now... what? are you asking what we think it is or do you have more to share? I lurve this stuff, too. but I just get fat eating it.
There are three people I don't ever trust--someone who hates cats, someone who is behind bars for a good reason, and someone who doesn't like chocolate!
Well said, JANE. Righty-oh, EILEEN-- I shall let it drain away like melted chocolate poured over grated coconut.
Ahh, I had no picture load when I clicked on this... go for it. It looks scrumptious! I was guessing you were indulging in chocolate...
That sounds interesting (except for the almonds, I dont like tree nuts ). I have too many vices...once in a while is good for you, too much is bad
It was scrummy, CAROLYN-- Now its just a fond memory. Yes MART--I have come out of my chocolate closet, in a manner of speaking. I have chocolate pride. Chuckle BIP--I know, I know.....
Hi, my name's Ronni and I am addicted to chocolate. I've worked really really hard to lose the 30 pounds of menopause weight I gained starting in 2008. I have been successful, but not without struggle. And my downfall is chocolate. I finally realized that not having any at all absolutely guaran-damn-tees that I'm going to binge at some point! So I've evolved a strategy that has worked for me for a few years now. I buy the "fun" sized Milky Way with Caramel candy bars. They're larger than a piece of gum, smaller than a whole candy bar. 100 calories each. Then I freeze them. I allow myself one a day. They're frozen so they take longer to eat that way, so there's a higher satiation factor. Unlike you Sjoerd, MY metabolism went south, along with my waistline and .. er...other parts of my anatomy..after menopause! So I have to compensate. I'd hate you for your ability to eat chocolate without consequence, except then I'd never get to benefit from your gardening wisdom.
Thank you for coming today and for your openness and sharing with our support group. You will have to select a "Binge-Buddy" that you can communicate with when you feel yourself wanting to "binge the choc". A point of attention will be your aggression towards a fellow member because of his metabolism. We must work on that...Ummmm, shall we start with a frozen Milky Way?
I am making chocolate cookies today. They are not for me but I bet I eat a few of them anyway. I made chocolate chip muffins for supper last night and we finished them for breakfast this morning. They are easy to make. Just make a plain batch of muffins and add a cup of chocolate chips. Makes about a dozen muffins with lots of chocolate chips in each one. dooley
'....and you say that all that chocolate stuff isn't for you? Ermm Dooley.........Not for you?? You'll only eat a few of them??......
SJ--I have to confess that I am a Choco-holics. I LOVE dark chocolate, and Ghirardelle is my favorite. Instead of buying the chocolate bars, I buy the baking chips which are as yummy, and do not cost as much. I limit myself to a 1/4 cup a day. Which I eat through out the day so I have some left in the evening when I get the munches. Like you said, it has so many health benefits how can you not eat it. Unless you are allergic to it.
