I've never seen the minis before, they are so cute! I think of small corner garden of all mini flowers would be a fun and adorable project!
Have not kept up on the garden much last fall or this spring, but at the Farmer's Market this morning I couldn't pass up some really inexpensive new colors of mini Iris. Most of these little gems are planted in my west facing front yard, and all the new ones will be also. Jeweler's Art Son and Sno Micro Wave Eye of Newt The Canadian Kiss is doing well and so is Boo There are several clumps yet to bloom so it will be interesting to see which ones are flourishing since the labels are not decipherable. I know I lost several varieties to rot. They just didn't like our climate. Hopefully since these are locally raised they will prosper.

That is a beautiful collection, Jewel. Do they increase as rapidly as the larger Iris? The tall iris seems to double or triple in size each year in my gardens so I'm constantly dividing and trying to find homes for them.
2forus, you can see how much bigger the Lady in Red is from the previous photo. It has just begun to bloom. They seem to multiple right nicely if their crom doesn't get covered with moss or dirt. Planting in the spring helps here, and having a sunny enough location. Some of the others aren't much bigger than when I got them. Guess we are still working on location. Thanks Netty, I thought the Eye of Newt was unusual too. Sjoerd, enjoyed your daffs, since I barely picked more than a vase full this spring. Even the late ones are finished here. My favorite daff is the Von Dion, it is an early double bloomer and very old. Unfortunately I never have enough of them since I stab more bulbs weeding than dandelions. I certainly loved seeing your posting. The wild hyathyins, fern leaf bleeding hearts, pink almond bush, magnolias and lilacs are in full bloom now. The winter heather is almost finished. Everything is several weeks early this year. Unfortunately work has kept me too busy to really enjoy the garden. Am way behind in weeding and rebarking the paths. A little project each day is all I have time for if I am lucky. Here is my wild front yard.
