image.jpg picked my first bowl of salad leaves from the greenhouse for my supper this evening. Basil, chervil, coriander, rocket and nasturtiums. Delicious.

What a tasty looking salad bowl EJ. I love the combination of flavours and especially like the peppery taste of nasturtiums.

Nothing better than a mixed spring salad, and that one looks particularly tasty!

That looks really good, EJ. Chapeau.

    BTW--are you still doing partridges?

Does look yummy. I can only dream of such greens, as I have no greenhouse.

Ahhhhh...too bad, but I can completely understand. Still I did quite enjoy your posts about rearing them and the progress that you made.
They were fun for you guys, weren't they.

I'd love to be able to pick greens from my own garden. Instead I buy them in bags from the grocery store. :( Your greens look delectable, EJ!

Ronni I can fully understand your not wanting to raise those precious Quail. Just to have them eaten by predators. We use to have chickens.....one day I came home from town too find that they have been attacked by ?. I think it was a Red Tailed Hawk. The one carcass I found was completely eaten except for the ribcage. One little girl chicken had what looked like shallow claw marks on her back. The poor girls where so afraid, they never came out of their coop for 2 weeks. That is when we decided to not have anymore chickens.:(

Mmmmm, looks very nice! At the moment I'm just snacking on Ranunculus ficaria, some Viola riviniána and chickweed while weeding. I need to make a proper salad of those, nothing else is growing here at the moment.
