So sorry Netty. It is the same as losing a family member. You gave Boomer the best life, and it will leave an empty place in your home and heart. Bless your hearts.
Netty that is so sad. One never knows what is going on with our furry friends. One day they seem fine and the next they aren't. I wish they could talk to us. My son just lost their lab mix Tanner this last weds. He was 14 1/2 and a really sweetie. He started to have problems walking and several times just collapsed. Then on Weds. My son came home and Tanner met him and was following him down the hall. He gave out a yelp, collapsed on the floor and died an hour later. I have had to put several pets to sleep over my lifetime and it is never easy saying good bye.
I'm so sorry about Boomer. I really don't know what else to say. I have been in the same place and know how bad it hurts and how much you miss him.
Awww Tooty2shoes, that is so sad. Even when our pets get older we aren't really prepared when something like this happens. I read somewhere that pets don't last OUR whole life time, but to our pets we ARE their whole life. I get comfort in knowing that I gave Boomer a great life for those 12 years. But I still miss her like crazy.

Thank you guys for the kind words. I felt the need to do some writing about my silly Dolly. If you want, go to my blog to see it. Dolly ( photo / image / picture from Kay's Garden )
