I spent a few days with some of my favourite people in one of my favourite places, the Kruger National Park. It's really so dry at the moment and especially the hippos are really suffering. When they are in the sun too long looking for water their skins crack and sadly a lot of them don't make it. Found one of them walking down a dry riverbed during the hottest part of the day. It's one thing hearing about it, but seeing it for yourself.... We were really blessed with our animal sightings, saw a lot of really cool sights including an almost-lion-kill and an elephant almost charging us! Not to mention the ever elusive leopard with a cub!!
Oh WOW!!! Those photos are amazing, not only good but of beautiful creatures. #6 looks almost like he is saying "do you want a full face shot or should I be in profile?"
Amazing photos! You certainly saw a lot of wildlife in a natural setting. Was that monkey doing a "The Thinker" by Rodin pose?
Fantastic images,..beautiful creatures all of them,..its that Monkey picture that stops one and wonders,.. what on earth is it thinking,..now that's a posing
Those are excellent foto's. Aside from the fact that they are of excellent quality, I find them so greatly interesting because those animals we do not see here often.
Fantastic photography Christa. I love the shot of the leopard and her cub - a sight rarely seen I'm told. I can see why the Kruger National Park is a favourite of yours.
Fantastic pictures! I think I've already looked through them 5 or 6 times. I really enjoyed them as it's something I will never see myself.
Thanks guys, I used my 75-300 mm zoom lens it's the only chance I really get to use it! The leopard was an amazing sighting, just the night before we went on a night drive and the guide told us although that specific region had quite a few leopards they're very shy and if you are very, very lucky you might see an old one. And then we saw a mom and a cub on the way out! I took a couple of shots of that specific primate, I believe it's a young chacma baboon.
Amazing shots 102! What is the animal in the second to last pic? Looks like a combination of several animals.
Cuatro it's a waterbuck, known by the ring on its butt. It runs into the water to escape predators, but the crocodiles like them too.
Amazing photos Christa and quite honoured that you shared them with us here! I seen a few of the above in a zoo environment but nothing beats seeing them in their natural habitat. Thanks!
