Philip: Wow! Where do I start? Gorgeous video of Spain. Wish I was there! Those columbines are incredible & the way you caught their hues is beautiful. It is so good to see how well your clivias are doing Philip. Eileen: Glad to hear that you grow them too. I had mailed clivia seeds to Philip ??several years ago. They are really growing well for you Philip. I should not be surprised.
Hi Phillip, Great to hear from you again. Clara is just keeping a close eye on you. And yes boots is well fed or maybe to fat. Love your pic's. Rain drops on the tulip is worth framing.
Cayuga Morning,..ah Spain!,.. it rained here all day yesterday,..i was longing for Spain. Now and then the light hits a bloom in just the right way and the camera catches it right. Ah i knew you would be pleased to see your Clivia still in good health. Donna,..thank you!,..Clara tends to stick close though its the close proximity to food rather than me,..your Boots looks like a well cared for cat as well,..a wise pair lol. Delighted you liked the rain drops on the Tulip
May 22nd 2016. Pruned quite a few branches from the Fuchsia Tree,..stood back and perhaps some more pruning to be done, its still pretty wide. Laurie's Golden Orange ( Self grown ) about to bloom. Mystery Plant,..blooms should open soon,..touch wood. Allium.
I hope someone can ID your mystery plant for you Philip. I'd love to know what it is as the flowers are beautiful with their scalloped ends.
Eileen,..i was led astray by the person who gave me the cuttings as he said Peony ,..i searched but could never come across anything similar,..some of these days i will put a name to it. As for the huge bulb i found in the garden,..it has produced a spike,..interesting looking markings but too soon to know what it is for certain,..has similar markings to Arisaema speciosum 'Leopard Lily' but none ever flowered where i dug up the bulb?. Oxalis debilis 'Shamrocks Pink',..starting to bloom. Aquilegia.
Your garden is amazing and I'm always thrilled to see those pink columbines!! for some reason I really love the pink combinations!!!
Philip... all I ever say is "oh, that is beautiful" can you post soemthing ugly so I can say something different for a change? lol! your gardens are just awesome! is that bulb the "arum" lily we discussed quite some time ago, by chance?
Hi Deanna,..i must agree that looks like a Fuchsia with the hanging bloom and even the color,..sadly its not so i will just have to keep searching. Ah the Pink Columbines,..you are a lover of pink blooms i well remember,..it was four years ago that you put it in my mind to do a 'Pink Theme' of blooms in my garden,..refresh your viewing of the result.
Lol,..something ugly Carolyn,..well how about an idea i got that doesn't seem right yet,..yet meaning i still have hope for it,..the picture below is Alyssum lobularia maritima ' Sweet Alyssum',..it can be used as a trailing plant or climbing plant,..so as i had an old cat cage i placed a flower pot of Sweet Alyssum inside the cage,..its growing up the cage though it doesn't appeal to me as yet,..perhaps its because of the rest of the idea not in bloom to date,..a container of Nepeta cataria 'catmint',..on top of the cat cage,..which should meet up with the Sweet Alyssum,..soon i hope. Ah Arum Lily,..not that either,..i do have about seven of them coming along very well,..however i think you are on the right road with Lily,..of some sort,..i look at it each day,..several times trying to place it
Oh good job,... yeah, that isn't nearly as beautiful as all the rest. You need to put some pretties with that, but I bet it smells marvelous. it needs some focal flowers. Alyssum is a filler and all filler is like eating all sugar.
Just wait until the blue blooms of the Nepeta cataria cascade down,..that should do it. Yessssssss changed the wording this way and that to find the name of my mystery plant. Crinodendron hookerianum | Chile lantern tree/RHS Gardening
