I well remember 'The Ugly Duckling',..i think the Cygnets are cute,..sadly i read in another Forum that someone stole the entire nest of Cygnets from a lake and the Mother Swan was demented searching around for days for her Chicks,..a bad deed
Beautiful pictures of your flowers and the swans. I really enjoyed them all. I can't believe the size of your fuchsia. Here they are indoor plants only. Your rose is so very pretty with the soft blending of colors. The Digitalis is a nice surprise. I'm looking forward to seeing what colors they are.
Oh Phillip how I'd love to have one of your Laurie's Golden Orange roses. Not only is it a gorgeous colour but my daughter is called Laura so it would fit in here beautifully. I'm off to see if I can find one to order.
2ofus,..our climate really suits that Fuchsia,..it thrives,..the trunk is so thick one hand will not reach around it,..Eileen has one as well in Scotland. Oh i am really looking forward to seeing the colors as well from those Digitalis,..so far i have potted 24 its a big bonus and luckily i spotted them now as in another few days the Hosta would have hidden them.
Eileen you should be able to get a similar colored Orange Rose,..my one was a cross breed from pollination some 12 years ago and when it first bloomed a Member in a Forum i was in said it looked like a Golden Orange,..her name was Laurie from NC USA.
Working in my neighbors garden,..well trying to improve it,..GardenStew Mug came in handy during my break.
A great Video Phillip. Your friend must have been thrilled with the results. Some of those iris are to die for.
Thanks Eileen,..i only have one Iris myself and i am waiting for it to bloom but that lady has loads of them,..i agree they are to die for,..sooooo beautiful i just had to make a video for her. I have had a small Bird House for a few years,..sent from NC USA,..lo and behold a Wren has taken up residence in it two days ago,..when she and her mate look out of the House they look into my Sitting Room. The bloom from the big mystery bulb,..bloomed,..i had called it a Tiger Lily,..i was wrong,..it is a Cobra Lily.
Aww I love to see wrens in the garden. I hope they'll raise a family in your nest box. WOW that's a really beautiful Cobra lily. I'd have lots of them in my garden if only I had any space left.
Eileen i am delighted to see them and i am keeping close watch on them,..not forgetting my Cats,..though the nest is high enough off the ground. Cobra Lily is Arisaema speciosum,..native to the grater Himalayan region from Nepal/West Bengal/India/China and Monsoon Forest at elevations up to 3500m,..its a volunteer in my garden and i see another coming up along side it,..there is one more elsewhere in the garden. Spring has come and gone so below is my Spring video,..with two glitches grrrrr.
June 21st 2016. Alyssum lobularia maritima 'Sweet Alyssum'. Campanula portenschlagiana. Oxalis debilis. Picked these for a lady friend. General View. Hosta in bloom.
