We can keep the deer out of the back garden so it grows and grows. I mainly do the design, woodwork, the paths and the rock tiers.
Beautiful back garden Hope the deer are not too problematic. They are a HUGE problem here in some areas and rabbits are following them.
Deer might be cute and add interest to a landscape scene but they can decimate a garden easily and quickly. There are some plants they're not supposed to like and so won't eat them but in my experience IF they are hungry enough they'll eat anything (unfortunately).
Kildale you have a garden I'd be more than happy to have. Neither wonder you get so much wildlife visiting you.I love the way the paths lead you through the planting.
I love your back garden. So deer won't go where you have use woodwork, the paths and the rock tiers? I don't understand that....
The garden slopes so much. I tiered it down, some thing like they do in the mountains. Flat area, edged with rocks then the next slope, edged again. This shows a small area but I did some large areas.
@Kildale - lots of work especially if you're working on a slope and moving all those rocks by hand. Looking good
The back yard is deer proof. A high wired fence with a gate and netting etc. Nothing to do with the wood structures.
Now all is revealed, I can now see why you get so many garden visitors Kildale. A really fantastic garden.
Thank you all for the kind comments on the garden, I must admit that I don't do all the seeds and cuttings etc., or much of the planting. Here are three deer in the front garden.
