Mystery - small purple flowers, fuzzy leaves, woody stems

Hi everyone. Plant sale is this Sunday!
And I have another plant that needs ID please.
Looks like it's been kept in a hanging pot. I had to pry open the only flower it had nearly open.
The leaves are kindy fuzzy and the stalks seem to be woody.
Any ideas would be most welcome!

Did anybody recognize it at the sale? I had no idea what it was either... curious though!

 

Maybe it is Ruellia strepens or something like that....

 

My only thought on this plant - is it Sage?

 

Yes. It is a wild petunia.

Bet you can get it to grow all year....Don't know much about it. Here is what I did....I have the app, "myGardenAnswers", It works on all smart phones. I had a hard time but I found something like it and when out and googled that to eventually find something like what your flower and leaves looked like... Hope it helps.....

 

Ruellia is probably the proper name. I'll have to check out that app.

 

Looks like what they sell at garden centers here as Mexican Petunias.

 

Mart.... I have 2 types of Mexican Petunias... the tall one's and the clumping ones.
These are a bit different... more of trailing. But you're right... they are definitely kin.

 

I have one growing in one of my flower beds that has light lavender flowers.
