School has been canceled two days in a row. First for snow fall and then because of thawing, freezing rain, a little more snow, and lots of black icy. I needed a break and this has been perfect. Had a chance to do some minimal house cleaning and roam around the yard in the light of day.

The snow drops are several weeks from really flowering but hope is on the way of longer days..

The heather has been blooming. Despite my attempts to keep them from turning into bushes they have taken on some size and are knee to thigh high. image.jpeg

Ice covered summer blooming heather help Frank size up to Jaxon by standing on a plant. Boy stuff. This is our first real taste of snow this winter. Am sure it will be gone quickly. Just like puppyhood.

What a stunning dog Frank is turning into Jewell. The markings he has are gorgeous.
Our snowdrops are out too and are fully flowering. They are such a welcome sight aren't they? Your heather looks fantastic against the snow in your garden - a welcome splash of colour..

This is our second 'ice day' in a row too!
I wish I had some blooms to share.

Thanks Eileen, if he grows into his feet he should be about 40 lbs. heather is always cheery in the winter. The snowdrops are still opening here.

Netty, hope the ice melted off as fast as ours did.

Thanks IL, he's quite the character.
