Beefsteak Begonia is starting to bloom. It's not a "wow" kind of flower, but I'm glad this plant is so happy again. It last bloomed in 2013. The wax Begonia cuttings I stuck in the pot with this orchid a few months ago have never stopped blooming.
Progress of 'Beefsteak' Begonia. Purple waffle plant (Hemigraphis.) The bloom is very small, (white, if you're searching for it,) but I'm glad the plant is happy enough to bloom inside! Queen's tears (Billbergia nutans.) Various Kalanchoes.
This was Begonia has been hanging out of the side of this pot & blooming all winter. Another 'Beefsteak' Begonia with pinker blooms. Not sure if that's because it's getting a bit more light &/or in newer soil that still has some of the slow-release fertilizer in it. Palm trees are blooming like crazy.
And so many pretty Kalanchoe blooms!! These pots live in greenhouse when necessary. Back out for the next few days.
Jewel orchid (Ludisia) is starting. Callisia fragrans blooms open yesterday. Can never get enough of sniffing that!
Gasteria preparing to bloom Big air plant preparing. Starting to see buds in the center of a few of these Billbergia 'Foster's Striate'
Progress of buds on Billbergia 'Foster's Striate' I'm so stoked!! Phalaenopsis orchid is blooming again. So pretty in the last rays of the day yesterday. Kalanchoes are still blooming well (flaming Katy.)
A large air plant is trying to bloom. (Tillandsia) This is the best pic I managed to capture of this bloom episode on Easter cactus (Hatiora gaertneri.) Plectranthus 'Mona Lavender' Purple waffle plant continues to bloom heavily (Hemigraphis)
It's beautiful to have such colour in winter...my favourite used to be my bottle brushes but lost 7 to last years winter and that did do me in with the care over the years
Oh, I love it when something blooms at home, especially when the season in the garden ends. Adenium Abutilon
