I would like to share a few of the birds that come to the deck for food and water. If you feed the birds you may like to try some of the things I do. The Joy of Birds.
A very informative post Kildale. Having your photographs too allows others from countries where these birds don't exist to learn all about them. I found it extremely interesting.
Great post Kildale,..i notice some of this years birds in my garden are very tame,..i guess its due to my being present as they ventured from the nests and have got used to me,..though i can never try to hand feed them as they would become targets from my cats.
I love all the pic's. What a way you have will those winged wonders. We have had the Pileated Woodpeckers visiting our yard from time to time. But they are not regular visitors. I am going to post a pic of two Woodpeckers we are so happy to see coming to our suet feeder. Well done Kildale.
Water is so important in a garden. Our pond attracts birds, small mammals and insects. Amphibians move in and make it a wonderful place to sit near and watch all the wildlife using it. Your birds are obviously extremely happy to have a constant supply on hand for them.
Lovely stuff Kildale,..seeing those birds enjoy themselves makes me more interested in providing some sort of water feature for my bird visitors,..it will have to be on high,..away from the felines,..working on something atop a pole.
Thank you for looking at my two stories. The birds certainly give me a lot of pleasure all year round.
