Yesterday it was 22C=70F,..today it was rain,..so just general views as one can get VERY wet even after the showers,..brush against a plant and its surprising how much rain it can drop down ones back.

Hi Sjoerd,..thank you,..yes the Delfs are in full bloom just now but i am missing two white Delfs,..one was eaten by slugs as it started coming above the surface and it never recovered,..another was slow to grow and became dwarfed,..i remember you mentioned the height of your Cape Fuchsia,..since i removed mine from the containers and planted them in the garden,..they are now touching 4 ft and growing.

Pansies in bloom,..these were saved from last summer.
    June 22nd 2017. 015.jpg

Rose ( Rosa 'Reine des violettes' ),..in translation is,..'Queen of the Violette',..its leaves are also scented.
The usual bloom looks as below,..sometimes it will produce the bloom below the first image.

    2017-06-22_12.58.49.jpg

Every year i mention that my garden will only produce pink Hydrangeas including the Lacecaps,..so i use Hydrangea Colorant to change the pinks to blue,..its very noticeable that the plants with added Hydrangea Colorant produce bigger blooms than the ones not treated,..it doesn't mention this anywhere but the images below will give an example.

The blue changed from pink,..very large.

That Hydrangea is beautiful and BIG!! I like its delicate shade of blue. Pansies always make me smile when the pop up in the garden as they, somehow, seem to be such cheery little flowers. I don't if I've ever come across a rose with scented leaves before. What a bonus!!

Hi Eileen,..Pansies look like little Puppies Faces to me :),..i agree they look cheery,..almost smiling.

Funny thing about that Rose ( Rosa 'Reine des Violettes' ),..i remember telling a friend about the leaves being scented,..he searched high and low to find anywhere a mention of this,..eventually the info was found in France,..of course that's where the rose was first grown,..i think 130 years ago or more,..anyway the leaf scent is described as Spicy,.. or of Roses and Pepper,..it flowers from May to October.

I pruned my Fuchsia magellancia,..its grown back to the height and width it was before,..more blooms though.

I had to eradicate my lilies from the garden when they got infested with Red Lily Beetle. I used to love their scent when I was in the garden but at least now I can see yours. What a pity I can't sniff the screen to get their fragrance though.

Eileen,..sorry you lost your lilies down to Red Lily Beetle,..touch wood they have not heard of my garden as yet,..just looking at the Lilies that have bloomed for me so far this year and i notice i am missing some that bloomed last year,..there are a few that are still in bud though not enough to compete with last year,..the usual is i get an increase not a decrease.

Clearing moss from the paths,..spraying with a mix of Liquid Soap and a small amount of Bleach,..an egg cup full of the latter in a pint of water,..its working and not causing damage to any plants.

I can't get over the variety of plants you have in your garden Philip. Your Dark Mullein certainly draws the eye with it's bright yellow petals - a real splash of sunshine!!
