    My husband has a filter on his camera that allows one to take photos of the sun. He has been practicing to see what camera settings do the best. He is really excited about photographing the partial solar eclipse on Aug. 21.
    Here is today's experiment--rather artistic, I think!

    WOW Jane that photograph could easily be included in the National Geographic!! Your husband certainly has a real flair for photography.

    I like it,..looks very nice,..without a filter that shot would surely be blurred,..tell hubby to be careful of his eyes when he looks through the lens on August 21st.

    Philip, thanks for the warning. I hope everyone who plans to see the eclipse takes the proper precautions. We ordered six protective eyeglasses for $12 on the web. We will keep four and give two to neighbors down the road that are anticipating the eclipse.
    The camera filter acts as a protective device also.
