I really need to extend the bed next year. I like it thick, but somethings are getting lost in it all. Poor blanket flowers have no where to run! And last up is some type of phlox. I seem to have lost their tags, so if you know what it is, please chime in. Thanks for looking. Okay one last one of my Joe Pye weed. Roughly nine feet tall, and is one heck of a butterfly magnet.
I really like the looks of your front garden. I can see why you want to extend it though. I've been extending the beds in our back garden so much that there's hardly any open space left. The birds and the insects love it though.
Looking very nice indeed, LI. Those zinnia's are really looking super for you. The phlox is also looking good. --What a feast for the eyes.
Not able to post during the week, and wanted to thank everyone for your kind words. This was the first year I added annuals to this bed. Gotta say, I do like the effect. Since posting these pics, I have seen three pairs of monarchs mating over the garden, katydid hunters doing what they do best, and a multitude of different types of butterflies. Does it get any better?........
Wow...so beautiful. I usually put my zinnias in a planter but yours look gorgeous in your garden....I will have to look through my seeds to see if I have any left...
Thank you Sherry, Believe it or not, those seeds were bought at a Dollar store @ four packs for a buck. I was quite surprised at the amount of seeds that did germinate.
