I have a problem in the bathroom department. I have developed a slight addiction. I can't pass by an orchid plant on the clearance table, I have to bring it home, to move it into my bathroom. I have over thirty plants now and they are all now developing flower buds, as they do every winter. So far the whites are in full glory, but they are the most prolific flowerers, however the colourful ones are starting to catch up.
Wow...those are spectacular! Are you trying to compete with KEW? Well, I guess that when folks buy you birthday prezzies, they know exactly what to get you. There is an orchid and butterfly house not too far from our house which we have been to a number of times. The different species of orchid are astounding.
Keep feeding that addiction EJ!! I never thought I'd ever say anything like that to a friend but in your case I'll keep encouraging you. I have only two orchids but I haven't managed to kill them yet which I'm proud of.
Hahaha, they fill my entire windowsill and I have 4 in hanging glass balls and a few on a shelf by the window. I have tried them elsewhere in the house and they give up the ghost so quickly so they all have the jostle for bathroom space.
