Sadly my plaque broke in two in the kiln but we are going to try and use it by glazing it and hopefully a combination of the glaze acting as glue, and the new addition of lily pads and fish stuck to the surface will hold the plaque together. These are my rabbit coasters, each one hand painted by me. The pencil marks should burn off and the colours will be different after firing. I will post more pics next week after more firing and pottery.
The coasters are adorable, the fish are wonderful and the lily pads are going to be spectacular. You have found your passion and are very accomplished.
I like those coasters especially the ones with beetroot leaves in their mouths. hahaha--those little rascals. BTW will the glazing on those coasters be slick or rough?
What a pity the plaque cracked but I think it should hold together nicely with those lovely fish and lily pads. Love, Love, love your rabbits!! I think you've brought a latent talent to the surface EJ and I hope you'll keep showing us everything you make.
EJ, you are doing such good work! I'm sure you can repair your plaque and it will be stunning. When I was looking at the two pieces, it occurred to me that it looks something like the two faces here. The bottom portion could be his and her faces, with the one on the right having flowing hair and the left being a man/boy getting ready to kiss her. I may be suffering from Valentine's Day residue . . . . .
I see that now marlingardener. How funny. Cayuga Morning, not sure yet, hopefully in the garden on the fence, but I might use it as an ornamental table top to look like a little water feature.
