I got a email from Philip this morning.

"Just to let you know I am nearly recovered. I made the mistake in thinking this last week only to be knocked for six again. 18 days now since this Australian Flu Bug hit me, some 34 people have died here as a result and of course many more in England, boy does it make one sleep. I can fall asleep at any time for up to four hours, make a cup of something hot then fall asleep again.
Thankfully my appetite has now returned and my temperature nearly back to normal."

He wanted me to let you all know that he hopes to be back on the forums again soon. This new 'flu strain is very worrying and I'm just glad Philip had the constitution to get over it.

Yes, we had the flu shots. It's going a bit wild around here. Hope everyone can avoid it. If not please take care of yourself and see a doctor if necessary. dooley

Poor Philip! Sounds like a very bad case.
I was ill for 3 long weeks with some strange cold/flu thing. I had the worst headache at the back of my head, not sinuses; which left me out of commission a long time. Other symptoms such as sore throat, cough, congestion, extreme malaise came and went and really knocked me out of the game. It took so long to feel better. Don't wish it on anyone!!
    Take care Philip!

Philip had another relapse but is now, hopefully, finally on the mend. :fingerscrossed: Little Foxy Molly had hardly left his side since he took ill. I'm so glad they have each other.

Thank you folks,..i just began posting in 'The Garden and Beyond ' tonight,..only two pictures to see but its a start to the bloom season.

You are all very kind with your well wishes and i thank you all,..five weeks of doing nothing but sleeping and looking at TV sounds like something that some would like,..it was boring,..nothing to stimulate the brain and at my age its badly needed :)

Well, due to my own life situation I had totally missed this...we were MIA together it seems Phillip! ;) I'm very glad to hear you're on the mend.

It's hit hard here in the US too, much harder than previous strains. This is a bad 'un!! :(

    Take care everyone!
