Boring you again with my latest pottery creation. This beauty is made with crank clay which is terracotta full of grit and sand to make it stronger so it can live outside in all weathers. I plan to fill it with sempivirens to create the top of the shell. After creating Cosmo, which is drying out, I wanted to make something fun.

I tell ya Eileen, I’m a born again potter! Having been put down at school and told frequently how unartistic I was, I am absolutely loving playing with clay. I have to get passed the idea that everything has to have a purpose, the other ladies make bowls and ornaments and tiles and trinkets just for the hell of it, whereas I still feel like that each piece I make needs a purpose, but I’m getting there.

Ditto Carolyn's assessment! You are artistic, and creative, and keep potting!
