kangaroo fern

    i had a nursery give me a nice kangaroo fern and it has long round thingys on it, i read up on them but it didnt have anything about these things, would anyone know about them, thank you all margie.

    Margie, without a photo most of us have no idea what they could be. I have been looking at photos of the Kangaroo Paw Fern and there are white roundish splotches on the leaves...is that you are referring to? If so, those are normal.

    Some of our ferns grow like that and the 'long round things' are new shoots or leaves growing. However, I this may not be the case with your plant so a photograph would help us out. Is this what you mean?

    thats it, the round things hanging down so when i plant it in the ground should i leave those up out of the ground, dont put them under dirt, im really confused about this one , sorry i dont have a pic, thank you for all your help margie

    Margie leave them out of the ground as they're part of the plant and nothing to do with the roots. I hope the fern does well for you.
