My late wife and I have had 12 generations of this original pair of Mallards and they come every spring and leave in autumn after having a new generation of ducklings. They come three times a day for feeding time. Mrs Blackbird : I am lucky I have two small gardens that are bird friendly. You name the birds I have had them all nesting here at some time. The Waxwing was a visitor from Norway during a severe winter and feeding was better in England for them. A photographers dream. View attachment 15274 View attachment 15274
I recall lots of excitement in a town near me some years ago, it was a Waxwing. Obviously thousands of miles from its home in the South. Thanks for sharing the images David!! K
I like all three photos. The pair of mallards is great, especially near Valentine's Day. And I particularly like the shot of the Waxwing. Beautiful.
