My late wife and I have had 12 generations of this original pair of Mallards and they come every spring and leave in autumn after having a new generation of ducklings. They come three times a day for feeding time.
Mrs Blackbird : I am lucky I have two small gardens that are bird friendly. You name the birds I have had them all nesting here at some time. The Waxwing was a visitor from Norway during a severe winter and feeding was better in England for them. A photographers dream. View attachment 15274 View attachment 15274

I recall lots of excitement in a town near me some years ago, it was a Waxwing. Obviously thousands of miles from its home in the South.
Thanks for sharing the images David!!

You have some great images there. It is nice when the birds get used to you and come back each year.

I like all three photos. The pair of mallards is great, especially near Valentine's Day. And I particularly like the shot of the Waxwing. Beautiful.
