Christmas Johnny Jump Up

    I took this picture this afternoon (Christmas Day) in our driveway. With no snow and temps in the 40's they keep blooming.

    Such hardy little plants even although they look soooo delicate. We've still got them flowering here and the temps have dropped to -11 degrees recently.

    Mine are blooming away, in all colors. Even during our hard freeze, the pansies, violas, and snapdragons just kept going. I have seen some lovely new colors in both pansies and violas that I am ordering seed for next fall.

    Love johnny jump ups .I have planted and plant but no johnny jump ups yet .Going to buy the plants next.

    These grow wild in my driveway coming up through the gravel.

    They always remind me of an old boyfriend that screamed at me "Hester is jumping on the Johnny Jump ups!" Hester was my Australian Cattle Dog that was as wild as any pup ever was. All I could do was laugh at the silly man. Sometimes I am not very nice.
