Tried some of the Boss's hand cream, yesterday. Cien from Lidl I think. Instant reduction of roughness. Better than anything I have tried before. Still softer this morning too.
I try to remember, even bought a full box of hospital type gloves after my son told me that cats wee or poo may be in the soil and toxic. K
We are dealing in biological reality when we feed the soil. Soil eats the dead animals. It absorbs everything. Bacteria, Fungi and more are part of the process. Some do not have good intentions.
My hands are as tough as old boots the only time i do put some on is when i am dying the wife's hair i ended up with pink finger nails the first time i did it without gloves
My Bride uses Cien. Of course I am far too macho to use hand creams. As for gloves--we use several types in the lottie, depending upon the task. Sometimes I do not wear any at all.
Those tiny white spots you get on your skin are a fungus. You can scratch them off and expose the burrowing fungus to betadine in hopes of killing it.
Gloves?? I am not a fan of gloves. With them I can't feel the soil. I need the feed back the soil provides. So, no gloves. Jerry
The thick gardening gloves no you can't feel the soil, but the vinyl disposal gloves that i use i can. But if I have to do any pruning I would use thicker ones. I don't do much of that because hubby wouldn't let me do it, he thinks that i will go too far.
This is a photo of my brand new gloves after two days of use: See the cracking in the fingers? Pathetic.
