Another first for this year.

    Its's great when you see some new birds. This is an Evening Grosbeak. Haven't seen one for a couple of years, there were 2 males here today. Of course I had the camera ready.

    WOW another bird that I've never seen - except in books. Let's hope some females join the two males and raise families.

    Beautiful shot!

    On rare occasions, we have had grossbeaks at our winter bird feeders. Usually after a deep snowfall.

    Yes he is a beauty. I also love it when new birds show up at my feeders.
