today was the herbfest in town of which it is a huge community supported event and well attended. I set up a booth at it every year. this year was by far the largest space I have had to work with... glad the day is done. I am exhausted. and I feel like a cold is coming on. sigh.
I would have gone straight to your booth Carolyn as it's so beautiful. I don't think there would have been much left for others after my visit though!! Your prices are so much better than the ones here too. I know it was a lot of hard work for you but I'm sure everyone loved your booth and appreciated how much effort you put into it.
Wow ! Very nice Carolyn ! I would have bought those strawberries ! All we get are brought in from,,who knows where and no taste !
Gee Carolyn, you don't do things half-way, do you? Your booth is so attractive, and the produce and flowers are luscious. You must have been one of the most successful booths at the fest!
thanks Jane and Netty. it is a big day. I can't do it by half Jane. I want to be a snow bird. I don't think I want to move permanently so, this goes towards that goal. Netty I didn't sell out. I wish I had but I brought stuff home to sell here at the greenhouse.
What a wonderful collection of plants. Your hanging baskets are perfection. You surely helped some people get a good start on their gardening this year.
Carolyn...everything looks so wonderful and healthy. I would have surely purchased from you. This year with our cool weather plants are not looking very good. We will get a nice warm day and then a few days later, back into the chilly windy mornings...
Oh Carolyn, I always find your stall pics so interesting to see. Everything is so tidy and you have a good selection of things to sell...so well-presented. Get some rest now...now is no time for colds.
Thanks Sherry, without my greenhouses and hightunnels I wouln't have much to sell either with our weather. its been up and down cold and windy then hot and dry... still covering tomatoes at night in the high tunnel. thanks S, I don't have time for a cold but I got something anyway. nasty deep in the chest crud that you would think 1/2 a lung came out. the 'fest was a great success and I am thankful for that. I started about 400 hanging baskets and I am not sure if I have 100 left. I start my farmers market on Sat. I don't have much ready in the garden to sell but I do have a few plants I can unload yet. we started picking strawberries just in time for the herbfest and I should have them for this week too. they are calling for rain though so it may be a bit of a soggy one.
