Had these guys stop by for an afternoon visit a week or so ago. Don't get lots of them but they do stop by from time to time and cruise about the backyard.

    Nice.

I found a large black king snake in the chicken coop this morning. He has been stealing my eggs for weeks, and I had to kill him. But something ate him for supper. I would prefer that the snakes stayed far away.

We have hedgehogs in our garden at night but this isn't them.

I've made a feeding station, have 3 hogs 2 small ones and 1 large.
Can't put pic on it's too large but can see videos of hedgehogs onYouTube.

I have at least one Texas Blind Snake...no photo they move really fast and hide really well.

A Texas Spiny Lizard family, they also move fast. But I have seen at least 2 adults and 4 young'uns.

At least 2 possums, they do not move fast, they waddle and it is so cute. Last year there were 6 in my backyard, this year I have only seen 2 and that might be as a result of their lack of speed. Last years adults were found by me one dead in our yard and the other dead in our neighbors side yard last Spring.

At least one Red headed Woodpecker, they too move fast, they don't really have to though, have you seen how sharp their beak is?

Dozens of Blue Jays..they move fast but they are also very ornery so they really do not have to move fast if they do not feel it is necessary. They simply squawk at any intruders. Even me when I am filling the peanut bowl, I keep telling them that is no way to interact with the person who feeds them....they do not listen to me.

Assorted neighbors cats who have been let out to live on the street. We won't go into what I think about those irresponsible people. Almost time to get a trap from our animal control office and cull the herd.

Last night at 4am we have a black cat with white on his/her chest come and visit. Set off the motion detector lights and strolled over the hot tub when I got up to look out the window to see why the light were going off.
