Well we did have a birch tree in our front garden that started out ok when cut back in to the shape of a ball but this year it went thin and you could see the branches, well it now resembles a mushroom [IMG]

Things get better this end as time goes on [IMG] and to do the top of the head he brought a rustic fire pit and made sure it couldn't be removed.

Funny isn't the word, i told him i don't want a mushroom just cut it flat and i'll place another plant in front and the answer i got was i don't ask for much concerning the garden so i let him carry on [IMG]

Ya gotta have a sense of humor sometimes.
I wasn't sure which mushrooms shape you didn't like:. The tree or the sculpture. Still am not sure

Gail, personally I love the mushroom and admire your husband's sense of humor. Of course, this is coming from a woman who has an Easter Island statue in her front yard . . . .

It looks good, perhaps you could make it into a feature by getting some fairies to put under it.:smt003

Jane it must be a good sense of humour as he's had people look at it plus looked to see how it's fixed it was like a fascination when he did it, god knows what he'll come up with next [IMG]
I suppose it does look cute...sorry but i can't stop laughing over it
Logan sorry no fairies..i've seen enough we lived next door to a neighbour who had snow white and the seven dwarfs :smt044

Gail, as you can see, my husband found a use for a stump. Gorg (yes, we named the statue) is very festive. Here he is decked out for Christmas, but he also celebrates Easter with cute bunny ears, and Halloween with a pumpkin hat.
    I wonder why the neighbors avoid us . . . .

Jane i'm sitting here [IMG]...don't worry we all carry a bit of the funny farm as the saying goes ;)

It's funny you having that on the stump as i wanted a statue but i let other half have his own way and don't get me wrong it's nice where we live but i know a wheelbarrow would have been pulled up the other side of our fencing and lifted over one way or another especially a statue like yours and they're so expensive but i  it :like:
