    Sounds really delicious Odif!

We had a new recipe tonight: a tart with onion, baked squash, garlic in a quiche type dish with reclette & guyere cheeses. Very good. Definitely a recipe to do again!

It was delicious Cayu. Let me know how you like your Swiss chard.

Tonight it is chilli con carne, The Bride's chilli is world famous in the Netherlands. ;)

We ate out tonight. We had dropped our daughter off at the airport, and the traffic was so congested on our way home thst we decided to sit it out and eat dinner at a Japanese restaurant. It was very nice:. dinner box of sashimi and teriyaki salmon.

It's cold so I'm going into my "winter dinner" mode. Tonight it's roasted pork tenderloin with a sage rub, baked corn casserole, and an apple/cranberry/almond salad. Simple, warming, and I hope tasty!

Baked corn casserole is one egg, one can of creamed corn, six crushed saltines, and about 1/2 c. of milk (or a bit more since canned creamed corn varies in consistency) mixed well and baked uncovered for 45-60 minutes at 350. It has a custard consistency and tastes (forgive me) very corny!
Had to come back and edit to add the casserole dish should be well buttered because corn is sticky.

    Sounds delicious SJ.

We had company last night. Husband served shrimp and multiple kinds of mushrooms in cheesy polenta. It was delicious. Our friends came with their grown daughter whom I knew as a baby, toddler, & young child. So nice to see her adult self! So smart and interesting!

That man sure can cook ! Who cooks more often--you or he?
That sounded delicious, what he cooked.
What an added bonus to see the daughter again as an adult. It sounds like you were impressed with how she turned out.

Yes! I am impressed with how she has turned out, how confident and interesting she is. I am actually impressed with how most of my friends' kids have turned out. Some have struggles but all are adults you can like.

Making pepper steak with rice. Thin sliced beef marinated over steamed long grain rice.
