Well, here are the pics that I promised. I begin with an " overview" of one segment: I shall begin with the tulips: Not only were there tulips, but also other lovely specimens: These Frits were new to my eye--notice their leaves and crazy hair-do: My favourite tulip this year: And like any good pictorial, I shall challenge you with a little id quiz. Can you tell me what this flowering plant is? I will tell you tomorrow what it is. I hope that you enjoyed our little excursion.
Those photographs are really something Sjoerd and certainly deserve more than one look - so far I've come back to them around five times and know I won't be able to resist another visit soon!! On by the way my guess would be some type of daffodil.
that is a fine collection of photos. I cant even begin to imagine the amount of work that went into that just to get to the point of the public seeing and enjoying it.
Wowww!!!!!!! Gorgeous photos! Beautiful spring flowers too. No idea what the last white flowers are other than a new hybridized Daffodil or Narcissus.....(maybe?)
EILEEN--Thank you enormously for your nice comments. CAROLYN--Thanks for your reaction. I think that you are right about the organization and planning of this event. MART--The first glance that I took on those little flowers was confusing to me as well. I had to bend way down and look for myself. ISLAND--I am glad that you enjoyed the thread. Good guesses you two: it is indeed a sort of narcissus. See the foto here-under:
Beautiful tulips and bulbs!! Those frits are pretty amazing too. Can you imagine them next to something blue?!
Thanks loads, CAYU--I think that if there was some shade of blue next to them it would look pretty exceptional. I like mixing colours. One can sort of get an idea with that little Hyacinth there in the right background. I agree with you ISLAND--They are a very short plant, but looked none-the-less charming.
