I’ve taken to potting up some of my mini hostas that are being out competed by their surrounding plants. The “Wiggles” (top green plant by primrose) almost disappeared. The “chartreuse wiggles” (on left)was being engulfed by the hardy cyclamen and tears. The “blue mouse ears” is actually multiplying but simply didn’t look very good with the texture of the hardy cyclamen. This last mini hosta is “bountiful”. Where it was planted has been overwhelmed by the BC ginger. I need to find a better spot for it. I will enjoy them all in pots this summer. This is how I first started growing mini hostas and they always did very well in pots. I even potted up some divisions of my favorite big hostas to enjoy in the drive way.
I love the mini Hostas! I have a few of them and they do seem to get engulfed by the other plants! They are hard to find in greenhouses in my area
