Dr said, "Today I did it up proper in the Cajun manner which I learned from a good Texas buddy named Burke Landry. On his 80th birthday a Cajun would say, "Now I got 80 years on me. Some how I feel that is a very proper statement. It's like you carry a backpack around with your life background in it and every year it gets a little heavier which is okay as long as you can haul it. The only thing is I still don't know what I want to be when I grow up. Thanks for the good wishes."
I sure wish we still had a garden. I miss having one but we live in an apartment. There are woods behind it and we walk along the woods all the way around the apartment complex most every day. I still check in here but not as often. dooley
Dooley, you and DR are missed here. It doesn't matter that you don't have a garden--your knowledge and experience in gardening is invaluable to us. Please post on any conversation where you have an idea, suggestion, or just a "we tried that and it failed" moment. Please check in more often.
We did have a nice day. We went to a small restaurant that we go to often and the owner/manager paid for our meals and wished him Happy Birthday.
